English Tutoring Program Based on the National Curriculum
Cluey's Primary English learning programs are based on the Australian National Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core literacy skills, including reading and writing techniques in the early years, and grammar and punctuation in the senior years. Our personalised approach gives your child the opportunity to slow down in the areas they find challenging to ensure they ‘get it’.

Amelia is a qualified Teacher, holding her Master of Teaching (Secondary). Prior to graduating, she had 2 years as a School Learning Support Officer, working in a Support Unit with students with a range of disabilities, in an English Intensive Centre with refugees, and in the mainstream setting. Since becoming a Teacher she has worked in an English Intensive Centre teaching English as an Additional Language students and as a mainstream Teacher, working with students with different abilities and disabilities. This has given her experience in differentiating lessons to suit the learning needs of each of her students. Amelia is a patient Tutor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, helping her to quickly establish relationships with her students.

Mathew is a qualified Teacher, holding his Masters of Teaching Practice (Primary) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Since 2020 he has been working as a Primary Classroom Teacher. He also has experience as a Teachers Assistance through his 8 weeks of university placements. Mathew is passionate about developing his students understanding of the world around them with an inclusive and supportive philosophy.

Anastasija is a qualified Teacher, holding a Master of Primary Teaching. She has been working as an online Tutor in Mathematics and English since 2020, completed a 9 week Practicum Student Teacher placement as part of her studies and worked as a Kindergarten Teacher for 12 weeks with online learning. Her goal is to ensure that every student is given the tools to chase the endless possibilities open to them. She strives to teach students to be resilient problem solvers that enjoy a challenge and aspires to create a safe, collaborative environment where language and communication is used in a meaningful way. Anastasija hopes to empower students to be aware of the world around them and to realise their potential for making it a better place.

Allana completed her Western Australian Certificate of Education in 2011, achieving an ATAR of 95. She then completed a Bachelor of Science in 2015, majoring in Chemistry. Allana has done her own tutoring between 2014-2016, mainly tutoring Science majority Chemistry with year 11 and 12 students. Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
Session breakdown
First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
- Discuss student’s areas of focus (if first session)
- Review previous session's assigned practice (if subsequent session)
- Set session learning goals
45 Minutes
During the session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for each learning goal
- Tutor demonstrates, guides and explains concepts
- Work through any challenges
- Students are encouraged to explain their thinking to clarify their comprehension
Closing 5 Minutes
Reflection and looking ahead
- Reflect on what has been achieved in the session
